Working on #repairing this nifty afghan. It's tricky because of the #crochet post stitches worked into previous rows. Have to be thinking about what is going on above and below the row I'm working on.

This morning's progress is another spot along the edge of the #blanket. Don't worry - next week I'll show some shots of repairing the inside of the blanket as I get bored with working on the edge. (I'm saving the top and bottom edge #repairs for last as they are my favorite.)⁠

The tricky part with a #zigzagafghan is remembering to do the decreases as you are #sewing and #reweaving the last row. This is the medium blue here, and you can see that this color is also a smidge darker - but not as noticeable as the light blue.⁠

Each of the stitch markers you see there is holding both parts of the legs of a single crochet stitch. Preparing this beforehand and making sure each stitch is oriented correctly and accounted for really helps me keep moving along as I do the final row of the repair.⁠

What would you like to see as I work on this piece? More time lapse videos? I was thinking about doing a live Q&A... but since I work before the rest of my household is awake I'm not sure how many people would join me!⁠

This morning's work was a paticularly tricky bit..

This morning's work was a paticularly tricky bit... mostly becasue the edge here is so fragile in places. You'll notice the finished #repair looks a little distorted... a lot of that will go away with #blocking, which is always the final step. The more I look at the color choice my client went with, the more I agree with here that the darker shade was the right way to go.⁠

Here I used the ends that I had woven in to reinforce the edge and give the worn down threads a little bit more stablity. Sometimes when the edge is worn down enough I'll recomend to the client that I add an extra edging to protect the yarn. I keep waffling if it is needed or not.⁠

I've been alternating between repairing holes and capturing the stitches to set up the reweaving - moving between tasks in big projects like this keeps me entertained a bit more.⁠
